Judy A. Sgro (MP Humber River – Black Creek) Member of the Canadian House of Commons prepared the eighth annual awards ceremony for members of several organizations that have generated changes in the communities of Canada and the world through their volunteer work.
One of the recognized organizations was the Canadian Human Rights International Organization CHRIO, which has become a reflection of the solidarity and values of Canada around the world, bringing faith and hope to those who have no voice and victims of rights violations humans. CHRIO volunteers provide a service to the community without expecting anything in return following their ethical and spiritual principles that lead to transforming lives and teaching by example.
CHRIO staff has become a reflection of the solidarity and values of Canada around the world. An example is Leonsio Romero and Yeli Decer, who with example show their little daughter Alpha Mariana the meaning of the service and the importance of returning a bit of how much has been received.
Leonsio Romero and Yeli Decer and their little daughter Alpha Mariana, were awarded for their volunter job to the communities. The Canadian Human Rights International Organization “CHRIO” staff was also present at this solemn ceremony with all its team of collaborators who received recognition for their great teamwork and their struggle for respect, defense, promotion and education of human rights worldwide.
Among them were: Jonathan Whiteside president of CHRIO, Mario Guilombo founder, Liliana Angarita Community Center Director, Lilian Julieth Guilombo executive director, Yeli Decer Human Resources Director, Jenniffer Smith Director of Mental Health Program.
Human Rights Journal (HRJ) staff were also recognized: the journalists Ornella Marquez and Luisa Moncada, with Gustavo Gonzalez , Webmaster.
